A: So I really think it's important to get the new lines of laptops out on the market no later than July, with plenty of time to grab the student market for fall.

B: My main reason is reports are showing a downturn in student enrollment at colleges this year due to so many state budget cuts on education. I just don't think the market is going to be there this fall.

主な理由は、レポートによると今年の大学の入学者数において減少が認められるからだ。多くの州で教育の予算削減があったためだ。市場がこの秋にそうなるとは思わないだけだ。

A: I've read those reports too but our price point on all the models is so low I think we can get a good share of the market that will be there. Let's face it, students need computers whether the economy is good or bad.

僕もそのレポートを読んだけど、我が社の小売価格は全てのモデルにおいてすごく安いから、市場の良好なシェアを確保できると思うな。正直に言って、学生は景気が良くても悪くてもパソコンが必要だし。

B: That may be, but if we wait until Christmas season we may have a better chance of making a heck of a lot more sales.
