A beneficial situation. Working to one's advantage.
好都合の状況。有利な状況になる。
" Ever since I secured the new company contract things have gone from
good to great! It seems the deal was made in the shade."
新しい契約をしてからというもの、状況はさらに良くなった！取引は有利に働いたように見える。
have it made in the shade や got it made in the shade といった形でよく用いられますが、とても楽な生活をしている、安泰な人生である、うまくいっているといった意味になります。
「日陰で作った冷たいレモネード 」 という歌詞の童謡が語源といわれている、アメリカの俗語です。
